Got my new ride today and all I can say is ...wow.



Pontiac 400, all forged, Dyers 6-71 blower with 2 Holley 750 Dominators on top. 4 speed, 4 point bar, tubbed, Mickeys, harnesses, just a beautiful riding car too. Here's some vids of her coming off the transport truck. A few pics too.

whats with the leaf springs out back though??

The rear axle was shortened to accommodate the tires, and leaf springs give a much stiffer suspension.

Sweet TA dude! Im a TA freak as well although not as built as yours mine holds its own pretty well and looks nearly new except for I need a new dash to be perfect interior wise, its covered now with a dash mat so looks good. Gonna add the decals at some point just know how much they crack and spider so I haven't decided what to do.

Was an 80 with a 301 obviously not enough power so out with the old in with the new built 400 with 65 GTO Ram Air III Heads, headers, adjustable coil over front suspension yada yada! Does well, if I keep it I'm switching from 3:08 Gears to 4:10's haven't decided what to do yet, since I bought the Mustang I rarely drive the TA anymore, and selling just doesn't make sense since I cant get any where close to what I got in it, not with the economy in the crapper. This is a car that constantly has me confused what to do, should I sell it and hate myself 15 years from now or keep it and take it even further. Wont ever be as extreme as yours but theres always something to do with a Toy, Im sure you know! Being a car freak is a never ending project, I also have 2 other cars and a motorcycle, my wife hates my cars, but she says it could be worse I could be chasing skirts instead of cars. These 2 however are my garage takers.

My dad had a 77 with a 350 instead of the original 400. He said the body was in next to perfect condition and he sold it for like $1,500 bucks for money for a truck.
